Andy Jordan

Director of Operations

With over two decades in the audio visual industry, Andy Jordan is the leader of the Canadian AV team. Not only is Andy Jordan knowledgeable about all technical aspects of Canadian AV’s in-house equipment (including but not limited to digital consoles, automated lighting, video switching, camera systems, projection systems and S.I), Andy is always up-to-date on latest cutting edge technologies and trends. His knowledge and leadership ensures that all customers are provided with the best equipment and personnel available on the island. 

Andy has worked with countless national and international event managers, promotion agencies, artists and award shows. He has been involved in the production of many major events or galas including The ECMA & JUNO Awards. Additionally, Andy has strong working relationships with all levels of government. Municipal, Provincial and Federal Government offices often consult him when it is time to plan any important event. Highlights from Andy’s career include working on the Canada Winter Games, the Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, and many of the phenomenal events put on by Sonic Concerts and Evenko.

Brad Hollett

Hotel and Convention Services Manager

With an extensive background in AV and live sound, Brad Hollett has provided technology solutions to the audio visual industry since 1997. Joining Canadian AV Inc. in March 2013 as our Hotel and Convention Services Manager, Brad has executed 1000’s of events at the Delta Hotel and Convention Centre. Brad is extremely knowledgeable of all meeting and conference venues in St. John’s and offers hands-on support for our live sound, audience response systems, video production and simultaneous translation. He continuously provides seamless customer service with positive results for all of our clients.

Steve Fowler

Logistics Manager

Steve Fowler has one motto: “There is no problem that can’t be solved”. Working in the rock and roll industry since 1995, it was an easy transition for Steve Fowler into the Audio Visual industry because it included all the aspects of a rock concert with slightly different elements. Steve Fowler holds “Fall Rest”, and “Rigging” certifications. While Steve is managing a crew of up to 100 workers on a production, he is always an advocate for safety by ensuring safety standards are met. 

By organizing many crews for big productions across the island of Newfoundland, Steve Fowler has established a strong database of experienced laborers. Working on such conferences and concerts as Show Canada with over 800 Delegates at the Delta hotel and Convention Centre, or Mile One concerts that seat 7,000, Steve thrives under the pressure to ensure that every event runs smoothly.

Charlie Fowler

Warehouse Supervisor

Charlie Fowler has been employed in the AV industry for over 30 years and has worked across Canada with some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Charlie has a well-rounded knowledge of all things AV and is known for his exquisite attention to detail when it comes to rigging, set design, and lighting. This ensures a safe and efficient set-up for every event.  Charlie has worked with many large productions such as the Juno’s, ECMA’s, and multiple Salmon Festivals. He has worked with well renowned names such as Tina Turner, Justin Bieber, Prime Minister Jean Chretien and even the Queen of England!

Phil Drover

Service Department Manager (Certified Technical Services and Repairs)

Phil Drover diagnoses and resolves all system related problems and performs repairs/installations on all types of audio visual equipment. Phil has received certification in Basic and Industrial Technical Repair and Installation from College of the North Atlantic, Info Comm Academy and Cabot Institute. Working in the industry since 1987, Phil holds a level of technical expertise that is unparalleled.  His wide breadth of knowledge will ensure that your AV equipment is always serviced to the highest standard.
